Respite Care
An Interval of Care or Relief
Jennings McCall Center is proud to offer the availability of Respite Care. Respite Care can give a caregiver some much-needed rest and can also be a good alternative to someone as they recuperate from an illness or surgery and are not able to stay home alone.
A furnished apartment is provided with meals, housekeeping and 24-hour caregiving services. A Registered Nurse is on-site seven days a week. A person can stay under Respite Care for a week, two weeks or an indefinite amount of time. (One week is the minimum stay.)
If you or a loved one are considering a move to assisted living, Respite Care can also be a good way of becoming more familiar with a senior community.
Services included with Respite Care:
- Three nutritious meals daily
- Basic expanded cable service
- Fresh linens & towels weekly
- Weekly housekeeping
- Full activity program
- 24-hour caregivers
- Registered Nurse on-site seven days a week
- Intercom system in each apartment
- One assisted bath/shower weekly
- Special diet accommodations
- On-going health care monitoring
Additional services provided with Respite Care:
- Diabetic care
- Tray service
- Personal laundry
- Dressing & grooming
- Behavior monitoring
- Ambulatory & incontinence care
- Medication administration
Respite Care fee:
$128.00 per day plus additional service charges.
